Kuala Lumpur, April 17 -- Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Chinese top leader Xi Jinping on April 16 witnessed the exchange of 31 memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and documents covering various sectors of cooperation between the two countries, including trade services, digital economy, artificial intelligence (AI), and tourism.

Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi exchanged MoUs on jointly promoting cooperation under the Global Security Initiative and strengthening development cooperation and promoting the implementation of the Global Development Initiatives. They also reached an agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of official and ordinary passports.
