Hanoi, Feb. 5 -- The average bonus for the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday rose by 13% year on year to 8.69 million VND per employee, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
At the government's regular press briefing on February 4, Pham Truong Giang, Director of the ministry's Department of Wages and Social Insurance, said the increase reflected the impact of a higher regional minimum wage and early policy implementation that gave businesses sufficient time to prepare.
