Hanoi, April 3 -- The official visit to Vietnam by Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye from April 3-6 is expected to help strengthen cooperation in economy and trade, which remains quite modest, between the two countries. As the first visit by a head of state of Burundi to Vietnam, it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations (April 16, 1975 - 2025), demonstrating the desire to further enhance the friendship and collaboration in various fields, including politics, economy, trade, culture, and society.
