Hanoi, July 25 -- Laos has launched a project to strengthen its health system by building community capacity to better cope with the health impacts caused by climate change.

The project aims to strengthen the climate resilience of the country's health system by supporting the government in addressing climate-related health challenges through boosting community capacity to manage health impacts.

According to a report from the Centre of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health, the project will enhance the use of climate data and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) indicators to monitor and prepare for climate risks in 25 vulnerable districts.
