Vientiane, Nov. 10 -- The 9th National Assembly (NA) of Laos opened its 10th session in Vientiane on November 10 to look into important issues of national development, including socio-economic development and financial plans, for the coming period. The session, presided over by NA Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane, is scheduled to last until November 21, the Lao News Agency (KPL) reported. In his opening remarks, the Chairman underlined the session's importance to setting orientations for the country's next phase of development. During the meeting, Lao legislators are set to consider the implementation results of the 9th five-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025).
