Lang Son, March 19 -- The northern province of Lang Son is working to complete the construction of 951 houses and repair of 1,521 other for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged families by April 30 as part a nationwide campaign on joining hands to eradicate temporary and dilapidated housing.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Van Nghiem said that the province has to date built 928 new houses and repaired 1.098 houses for households.

Organisations, individuals and the business community inside and outside the province have donated over 176.7 billion VND (7 million USD) to the province's housing support programme, Nghiem said.
