Jakarta, Feb. 13 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Human Rights (HAM) on February 12 announced plans to create a Reconciliation and Peace Village (Kampung Redam) that promotes human rights values in regions affected by social conflict.
Minister of HAM Natalius Pigai said that the development of such village demonstrates the government's commitment to fostering peace and justice, particularly in conflict-affected areas.
He said in Indonesia, numerous regions or villages have been affected by social conflicts in various forms, including those that have been resolved and those that may recur, ranging from small to large scale.
