Jakarta, Nov. 11 -- Indonesia aims to clinch 120 gold medals at the 13th ASEAN Para Games, which will be held in Thailand from January 20 to 26 next year.
Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir announced the target following a meeting with Senny Marbun, Chairman of the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC Indonesia), in Jakarta on November 10.
According to the official, who also serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Football Federation, the goal of 120 gold medals was set based on an objective assessment of the teams' current capacities, while also aiming to secure a second-place finish at the regional sporting event. The host nation, Thailand, has set a target of 174 gold medals.
