Jakarta, Sept. 22 -- Indonesia's tourism industry is entering a booming phase, welcoming 8.5 million international arrivals in the first seven months of 2025, up 10% year-on-year.

Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said the country hosted 13.9 million foreign visitors in 2024, a 19% increase from 2023. This strong momentum has continued into 2025, underscoring the growing appeal of the archipelago nation on the global tourism map.

Domestic tourism has also witnessed remarkable growth. In 2024, the number of domestic trips surpassed 1 billion. By July 2025, this figure had risen 19.25% year-on-year, reflecting the surging demand among Indonesians for travel and leisure.
