Jakarta, Feb. 24 -- Indonesia still plans to purchase 50 aircraft from Boeing as part of a reciprocal trade agreement with the US, according to Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani. Rosan said the long-discussed aircraft acquisition remains active, although negotiations are still ongoing. The proposal had previously surfaced but saw little progress, including its absence from the capital spending plans of national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, which is expected to operate the planes. Rosan said detailed talks with Boeing are continuing, but he could not yet disclose the total transaction value or delivery timeline.
