Hue, Aug. 24 -- A digital marketplace for recyclable waste - mGreen was launched on August 23 in the central city of Hue as part of the project "Hue - Plastic Smart City in central Vietnam," funded by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Norway through WWF-Vietnam.

The system, developed in partnership with the Hue Department of Agriculture and Environment and the mGreen Initiative, introduces two mobile apps - Buy Recyclables mGreen and Sell Recyclables mGreen. Together, they create an online marketplace that not only connects buyers and sellers of recyclable waste but also encourages waste sorting at source and supports the implementation of extended producer responsibility (EPR) through the participation of licensed recycling firms.
