HCM City, Feb. 3 -- Ho Chi Minh City reaped nearly 7.7 trillion VND (307 million USD) in revenue from tourism during the nine-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday that ended on February 2, up 17.4% year-on-year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism. Specifically, the city welcomed 87,358 foreign visitors, an increase of 16.5% compared to the same period last year. Tourist attractions, entertainment venues, and service areas recorded around 2.1 million visitors, a hike of 16.7% from last year.
