HCM City, Nov. 13 -- Ho Chi Minh City has provided more than 164 billion VND (around 6.22 million USD) in cash and over 7 billion VND worth of goods to assist northern and central localities hit by recent natural disasters.

Speaking at a donation reception ceremony on November 12, Phan Hong An, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, said that from early August to November 11, the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Relief Mobilisation Board had received 15,196 donations, amounting to nearly 232 billion VND in total.
