Hanoi, Feb. 10 -- A programme discovering Vietnam, held on the morning of February 10 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi, has offered visitors a chance to explore and experience a series of traditional royal court ceremonies under the theme "Tong cuu nghinh tan" (farewell to the old, welcome the new), highlighting the cultural depth of the country's Lunar New Year (Tet). Organised by the municipal People's Committee in coordination with the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO, the programme recreated a range of ceremonial practices once performed in the royal court.
