Hanoi, Oct. 6 -- Vietnam's successful campaign to have the United Nations (UN) General Assembly select Hanoi as the host city for the Opening for Signature of the UN Convention against Cybercrime (Hanoi Convention) from October 25-26 represents a significant milestone in the nation's multilateral diplomacy, according to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang. Giang told the press that the campaign began immediately after the convention's adoption in late 2024.
