Gia Lai, July 17 -- Joining the nation's battle against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing practices to life the European Commission's yellow card warning, the central province of Gia lai has carried out drastic measures to strictly control fishing operations. Recognising that fishing vessels violating foreign waters could undermine efforts to remove the card, Gia Lai has paid due attention to raising public awareness of the fishing regulations while arranging staff to monitor vessels' arrivals and departures around the clock.
