Lam Dong, Nov. 22 -- President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai visited the central province of Lam Dong on November 22, which has been hit by severe flooding and landslides.
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi reported that torrential rains from November 17-21 caused more than 1 trillion VND (37.9 million USD) in losses. Five people died, one was injured, and over 2,000 households in 12 communes suffered property damage, including 74 homes destroyed or washed away. Nearly 3,500 hectares of crops were lost, alongside more than 18,000 poultry and 620 livestock.
