Nice, June 9 -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son met with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot on June 8 during which the latter affirmed that France attaches much importance to the relations with Vietnam which hold an important role in ASEAN and the European country's Indo-Pacific Strategy. At the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 3), both diplomats expressed their satisfaction with the positive outcomes of French President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Vietnam in late May, marking another milestone in the relationship between the two countries.
