Paris, Oct. 29 -- The Permanent Mission of France to the UN has welcomed Vietnam's hosting of the signing ceremony of the UN Convention against Cybercrime (Hanoi Convention) on October 25.

In its statement issued on October 28, the mission noted that the convention offers France, the European Union (EU), and other signatory states a shared framework for tackling borderless cybercrimes that demand coordinated action. It also complements the Council of Europe's Budapest Convention on Cybercrime, reinforcing international cooperation mechanisms in the fight against cyber threats.
