Dong Thap, June 27 -- The Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in the Mekong Delta Province of Dong Thap on June 26 held a conference to review the implementation of the housing support programme so far this year. Accordingly, after more than three months, Dong Thap completed the construction and repair of 2,159 houses, fulfilling 100% of its plan. These include 605 houses for people with meritorious service to the revolution and 1,554 for poor and near-poor families. The total cost exceeded 189 billion VND (7.23 million USD), with over 84 billion VND mobilised from social resources, businesses, and community contributions.
