Dong Thap, March 28 -- In an effort to eliminate substandard housing, the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap has planned to build 2,000 new houses for disadvantaged households in 2025.
Vo Chi Huu, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province, stated that embracing the spirit of mutual support, the committee has mobilised local authorities to strengthen social welfare efforts and support low-income residents.
The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee recently issued a directive outlining criteria for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.
