Dong Nai, April 4 -- Authorities in the southern province of Dong Nai have stepped up efforts to eliminate substandard houses through a support initiative targeting poor and vulnerable residents.

At a groundbreaking ceremony on April 3 in Vinh Cuu district, provincial leaders presented symbolic funding to ten households, with each receiving between 30 and 80 million VND (1,200-3,200 USD).

Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee, Vo Tan Duc, said the initiative reflects the province's strong commitment to social welfare and the national tradition of solidarity and gratitude. He urged local agencies to accelerate construction and complete all remaining houses by April 30.
