Hanoi, June 18 -- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a decision to suspend Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan from his position pending further action by competent authorities.
The suspension, effective under Decision No. 1178/QD-TTg dated June 17, entitles Hoan to 50% of his current salary, excluding leadership and managerial allowances.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, Hoan, formerly Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, is under investigation for allegedly taking bribes in connection with a case involving the Hoang Long Construction and Manpower Supply JSC and related units.
Three other officials from the Department of Overseas Labour Management have also been prosecuted for the same...
