Dak Lak, Feb. 8 -- The Central Highlands province of Dak Lak has launched a plan to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing for local poor and near-poor households, aiming to construct 4,285 new homes by 2025.

The province currently has 5,405 households in need of housing improvements, including 4,285 requiring new homes and 1,120 needing repairs.

The total budget for new constructions is 342.8 billion VND (13.6 million USD), equivalent to 80 million VND each unit. As much as 257.1 billion VND will be sourced from the central budget and 85.7 billion VND from the provincial budget. Local authorities are also mobilising additional funding from businesses and philanthropists.
