Dak Lak, Nov. 7 -- Economic losses caused by Typhoon Kalmaegi in Dak Lak province were estimated at more than 170 billion VND (6.46 million USD), with severe damage reported at the Bach Dang embankment. The provincial Civil Defence Command reported on November 7 morning that the typhoon - the 13th storm hitting the East Sea this year, has downgraded into a low-pressure area. It is forecast to continue moving west-northwest and gradually dissipate in the next 12 hours. According to preliminary reports, the storm left two people dead, and injured two others. Twelve houses were destroyed, 326 houses had their roofs blown off, and 147 were flooded. About 54,000 aquaculture cages were damaged, with estimated losses of around 21 billion VND. So...
