Beijing, Sept. 2 -- From the spark of national liberation to the long journey of socialism construction, the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)'s historic role remains bound to the fate of the nation, said Prof. Pan Jin'e, a member of the Research Institute of Marxism under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and an expert on Vietnam.
Talking with Vietnam News Agency correspondents in Beijing on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2), Pan hailed the CPV as the "vanguard" of national liberation movement that shattered colonial shackles and paved the way for independence.
