Hong Kong, March 10 -- China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is becoming a shopping haven for consumers from ASEAN countries, according to the news site hkcna.hk. A survey published in Hong Kong on March 10 revealed that the local products are highly popular among online shoppers in ASEAN nations. Those from Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia lead the region in both purchase volume and average spending. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council interviewed over 1,800 ASEAN consumers between June and July last year. The findings showed that 70% of respondents were most interested in Hong Kong's consumer electronics, while 38% preferred fashion items, followed by beauty and personal care products.
