Phnom Penh, June 23 -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has announced that the country will suspend all imports of fuel and gas from Thailand starting at midnight on June 22, according to Cambodia's national press agency AKP.

In his post on social media the same day, Hun Manet said energy companies would be able to import sufficiently from other sources to meet domestic fuel and gas demands in the country.

Earlier on June 17, Cambodia officially halted the import of vegetables and fruits from Thailand at border checkpoints.
