Ca Mau, June 19 -- The southernmost province of Ca Mau has completed the programme aimed at eliminating makeshift and substandard homes, nearly three months ahead of the local plan and five months earlier than the national schedule.

As of June 17, the province had achieved its target of supporting the construction and renovation of 4,400 homes, with a total budget of over 235 billion VND (about 9 million USD).

Speaking at a conference held on June 18 to review the implementation of the programme, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai highlighted that the programme demonstrated the strength of national unity and the collective efforts of the entire political system and society.
