Bac Kan,, March 5 -- The province of Bac Kan aims to complete its target of eliminating substandard housing by December 31, with efforts being made to encourage districts and cities to meet the target by October 30.
As of February, more than 4,600 households in the province expressed their need for assistance in eliminating temporary and dilapidated housing.
Funding for the programme has been sourced from national target programmes on sustainable poverty reduction and socioeconomic development in ethnic minority areas, as well as a housing support scheme for those with meritorious service to the nation and relatives of fallen soldiers.
