Hai Phong, Aug. 20 -- Australia's U23 team defeated Myanmar 1-0 on August 19 to claim the 2025 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Women's Championship title for the first time. The final at Lach Tray Stadium in Hai Phong city was a highly anticipated rematch as Myanmar used to beat Australia's U23s in the group stage. However, Australia, coached by Joe Palatsides, showed marked improvement with strong ball control, diverse attacks, and solid defence.
