An Giang, March 27 -- An Giang province is ramping up efforts to eradicate temporary and dilapidated houses, with a progress review meeting held on March 26 to assess achievements and outline key priorities in the coming time.
According to the provincial People's Committee, 3,156 households require housing support, necessitating a budget of 174.84 billion VND (6.83 million USD) to construct 2,672 new homes and renovate 484 others.
So far, An Giang has secured 139 billion VND from multiple sources, enabling construction of 1,647 houses, achieving 52.19% of the province's goal. Notably, Long Xuyen and Chau Doc cities have successfully completed their targets ahead of schedule within the first quarter of 2025.
