Nghe An, Feb. 12 -- A wartime bomb weighing around 250kg was safely detonated on February 11 in Xieng Huong village, Tuong Duong commune, Nghe An province, with absolute safety ensured for both personnel and equipment.
The bomb was discovered at midday on February 7 by the family of Nguyen Van Viet, a resident of Tuong Duong commune, while they were excavating land to lay a house foundation.
Suspecting the object to be an unexploded bomb, the family immediately reported to local authorities.
