HCM City, June 30 -- Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Culture and Sports on June 29 held a ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History to announce 17 national treasures and launched an exhibition displaying them. The displayed include the newly recognised national treasure - a ceramic pot belonging to the Dong Son culture (about 2,500 - 2,000 years ago); the statues of Buddas, gods and goddesses; Nguyen Dynasty treasures; and modern art masterpieces, reflecting the brilliant imprints of Vietnam's development periods.
