Hanoi, Jan. 20 -- As many as 1,586 delegates, representing more than 5.6 million Party members nationwide, are attending the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which officially opened on the morning of January 20.

On behalf of the Congress Presidium, Politburo member and State President Luong Cuong delivered the Congress's opening address.
