, Dec. 28 -- Qazigund (Anantnag): Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic (Rural) Ravinder Pal Singh on Saturday said that snow clearance operations on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway are going on a war-footing basis.

Talking exclusively to KNO, the SSP Traffic (Rural) said, "The traffic on the highway has been suspended from both the sides i.e. Srinagar as well as Jammu. No vehicles are being allowed to ply on the highway."

He said that at present nearly 350 heavy motor vehicles and 150 light motor vehicles are stranded on the highway. "It has been snowing continuously.
