, Jan. 20 -- KANGAN: The Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA) has sought registration of an FIR against toll plaza staff at the Shutkadi entry point in Sonamarg for alleged overcharging of sanitation fees from vehicles.

Taking prompt cognisance of the issue, SDA forwarded an official letter to the concerned authorities, directing that an FIR be lodged to investigate the matter and fix responsibility. Sources said the authority has taken a serious view of the allegations, as such practices not only inconvenience tourists but also harm the image of Sonamarg as a major tourist destination.
