, Feb. 12 -- SRINAGAR: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has criticised the government over the recent killings in Bumai, Sopore, and Bilawar, Kathua.

Mufti, while speaking to the media, accused the authorities of failing to ensure justice for innocent civilians and imposing unnecessary restrictions on political leaders.

Referring to the killing of Waseem Mir from Sopore, a truck driver, and the alleged police torture that led to suicide in Bilawar, Mufti questioned the silence of the administration.

She expressed disappointment when the National Conference leader, also the JK CM Omar Abdullah, met the Home Minister Amit Shah but did not raise these critical issues.
