, Feb. 3 -- SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday said that Srinagar district continues to function with just one medical block and four medical zones, and there no proposal to create constituency-wise medical blocks.

Replying to a question by MLA Sheikh Ahsan Ahmad, Health Minister, Sakina Itoo, per KNO, said that the four medical zones in Srinagar are functioning directly under the administrative control of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Srinagar.

She said that despite the limited number of medical blocks, the implementation of health programmes and delivery of services is being carried out smoothly with the existing manpower and infrastructure.
