, May 3 -- Srinagar: Night temperature recorded an increase amid cloud cover but continued to hover below normal in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

A meteorological department official here told GNS Srinagar recorded a low of 7.8degC against 5.7degC on the previous night and it was 1.9degC below normal for the summer capital of JK for this time of the year.

Qazigund recorded a minimum of 6.2degC against 3.6degC on the previous night and it was 2.3degC below normal for the gateway town of Kashmir, he said.

Pahalgam recorded a low of 1.7degC against 1.0degC on the previous night and it was 3.2degC below normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir.
