, Jan. 30 -- JAMMU: National Conference MP Mian Altaf Ahmed announced that the High Court has imposed a ban on construction activities in the Sonamarg tourist destination for several years.

In a statement issued to Valley Online, Mian Altaf called on leaders of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to respect the High Court's orders and to comply with the law, rather than making unfounded accusations.

His comments were in response to allegations made by PDP leaders regarding a recent demolition drive conducted by authorities on PDP leaders' land in Sonamarg. (VON)
