SRINAGAR: The government has conducted safety audits of 778 roads across Jammu and Kashmir during the past two years, leading to remarkable infrastructure upgrades and the identification of critical issues.

According to the official data accessed by KNO, over 4.26 lakh meters of crash barriers, 31,300 meters of parapets, and 3.11 lakh meters of protection walls have been installed to prevent accidents. Additionally, 15,566 road signs have been put in place, while 545 black spots have been successfully rectified to enhance commuter safety.
