SHOPIAN, March 6 -- In an act of enmity in South Kashmir's Shopian district, the miscreants caused a loss of lakhs of rupees to a fish farmer on Thursday by allegedly poisoning his fish farm.
Official sources told KNO that some unknown persons have thrown poisonous substance in a fish farm at Heff village of Zainapora hamlet in South Kashmir's Shopian district, leaving around 7000 fishes dead.
The farm belongs to Firdous Ahmad Lone, son of Ab Majeed Lone of Heff Zainapora.
The victim family along with their relatives have demanded investigation in this case and strict action against the persons involved in this mischief.
They said that 7000 fish are worth lakhs and the matter must be investigated on a priority basis.
