, Feb. 16 -- GANDERBAL: The use of snow bikes in Sonamarg is having a detrimental impact on the ecology and the Eco Sensitive Zone.

Officials have stated that despite repeated circulars, snow bikers have failed to register with the Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA).

Sources reveal that only a few bikes are registered with the development authority, while a significant number remain unregistered.

A said that this year Sonamarg has received very little snow, and these bikes are taking a toll on the scant snow available.
