Which region grows most gourds?
Tashkent, March 12 -- According to statistics agency, Uzbekistan produced 2.6 million tons of gourds in 2023. The volume of production increased by 5.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
Regions growing the most gourds were:
- Republic of Karakalpakstan - 183.5 thousand tons
- Andijan region - 215.1 thousand tons
- Bukhara region - 203.3 thousand tons
- Jizzakh region -301.5 thousand tons
- Kashkadarya region -190.7 thousand tons
- Navoi region-104.6 thousand tons
- Namangan region -134.4 thousand tons
- Samarkand region-172.1 thousand tons
- Surkhandarya region -337.3 thousand tons
- Syrdarya region -294.1 thousand tons
- Tashkent region -70.1 thousand tons
- Fergana region -179.9 thousand tons
