Uzbekistan, March 26 -- New presidential decrees outline measures to implement waste-to-energy investment projects in Tashkent city, Andijan, Namangan, Fergana, Tashkent, Kashkadarya, and Samarkand regions. These projects aim to improve the environmental situation and introduce modern solutions for waste processing while attracting direct investments into the sector.

Under the agreements for purchasing electricity and supplying solid household waste, project companies will sell the generated electricity to "Uzenergosotish" JSC under a 30-year guarantee.

Between 2025 and 2027, investors and project companies will launch waste-to-energy facilities with the following capacities.
