Tashkent, Feb. 6 -- Uzbekistan plans to raise $2.5bn to develop the digital infrastructure. This was announced by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov at The International Digital Almaty Forum held on Friday.

"Modernizing mobile communications, setting up effective e-government are the priorities" he said.

According to Aripov, these funds would help to launch three new data centers - in Tashkent, Bukhara and Kokand. The government plans to cover all schools and districts with quality internet connection.
