Uzbekistan Sees 4.7 times Surge in Non-State School Teachers
Tashkent, March 13 -- At the beginning of the 2023/2024 school year in Uzbekistan, the number of teachers working in non-state general education organizations was reported as 7,730 by the Statistics Agency.
This figure represents a substantial increase of 4.7 times compared to the corresponding period of the 2018/2019 academic year. The progression in the number of teachers over the years is as follows: 1,633 in 2018/2019, 2,353 in 2019/2020, 2,859 in 2020/2021, 3,578 in 2021/2022, 5,014 in 2022/2023, and 7,730 in 2023/2024.
