Tashkent, March 25 -- In January and February 2024, over 4 trillion soums of Value Added Tax (VAT) were refunded to taxpayers in Uzbekistan. This refund amounted to 4,055.9 billion soums and was distributed among 1,163 organizations, based on a total of 1,382 applications.

The three sectors that received the most refunded VAT were production, service provision, and agriculture, with respective amounts of 1,958.6 billion, 315 billion, and 229.7 billion soums. Compared to the same period last year, the reimbursed VAT increased by 44.6%.
