Uzbekistan intends to fully mechanize cotton harvest by 2026
Tashkent, Jan. 15 -- On January 14, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on measures to increase the level of mechanization of the cotton harvest in the regions of the Republic, Norma.uz reported.
The first stage (2020-2022) provides for the introduction of mechanization of cotton harvest in the Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya and Tashkent regions, and the second stage (2023-2026) - in all other regions.
The Ministry of Finance will cover part of the costs for machine harvesting.
In 2020, the Ministry of Finance will continue to cover expenses of 30% for the use of machine services in the cotton harvest in the Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya and Tashkent regions.
